Chen Dong, PhD, National Distinguished Expert, Distinguished Researcher of Zhejiang University.

Obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2006;

In 2012, he received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, under the tutelage of Professor Noel A. Clark, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences;

In 2013, he entered the research group of David A. Weitz, a member of the American Academy of Sciences, a member of the American Academy of Engineering, and a member of the American Academy of Sciences and Arts, as a postdoctoral fellow. After returning to China, he served as a distinguished researcher of Zhejiang University.

For many years, he has been engaged in the research and development of microfluidic technology and microencapsulation process. At present, he has published more than 50 papers in Science, Nature Communication and other magazines, including 20 papers by the first author or corresponding author, published in Nature Communication and other international journals have a total of more than 2,000 citations, with an average of more than 20 citations; research work has been reported by Science, Nature Chemistry and other special reports.

He was in charge of research projects commissioned by major international companies such as BASF, Mars, and Chanel. A series of innovative work has been carried out in the research direction of microfluidics and micropackage, which is of great significance to the industrial development of related fields.
